While Binding Decision applicants are evaluated according to the same admission standards as all other applicants, these applicants' strong demonstrated interest in attending Wake Forest Law will also be considered by the admissions committee.
Applicants who apply through the Binding Decision program may apply to other law schools, but they may not maintain more than one active binding application at any one time (including Wake Forest Law).
If an applicant has already submitted a binding application to another law school, the applicant may apply to Wake Forest Law's Binding Decision program if, and only if, they are released from their binding commitment to attend the other law school, which would include a decision from the other school to not admit the applicant (e.g., deny, waitlist) through the binding program at that school.
Applicants cannot submit a binding application to another law school while maintaining an active Binding Decision application to Wake Forest Law. An applicant is only released from their binding commitment to attend Wake Forest Law once/if they receive a decision (other than being admitted) to the Binding Decision Program.
Once an applicant has submitted a Binding Decision application, the applicant cannot request to have the application moved to the regular non-binding application pool.
Applicants admitted through the Binding Decision Program are committed to attending Wake Forest University School of Law and must withdraw all other law school applications within five calendar days of being admitted. Admitted applicants must also refrain from submitting any new law school applications through October 5 of the following fall. Applicants cannot defer an acceptance.
Binding Decision applicants admitted as a Wake Forest Law Scholar are guaranteed a $27,000 per year scholarship, distributed over six semesters of study at the law school, subject to customary scholarship terms and conditions, including maintaining good standing. Wake Forest University School of Law does not award "conditional scholarships" as defined by ABA Standard 509(d).
Applicants with exemplary credentials and potential are encouraged to apply through this option. Competitive applicants will often have an LSAT/GRE score and/or undergraduate GPA that would place the student in the top 25% of the most recent entering JD class.
Binding Decision applicants admitted through the Wake Forest Law Committed option will not be considered for any scholarship aid. Applicants should only apply through this option if Wake Forest University School of Law is their top choice for law school and for whom scholarship aid is not a consideration.
Applicants for whom scholarship aid is a consideration should not apply through this option.

In addition to a bar examination, there are character, fitness, and other qualifications for admission to the bar in every U.S. jurisdiction. Applicants are encouraged to determine the requirements for any jurisdiction in which they intend to seek admission by contacting the jurisdiction. Addresses for all relevant agencies are available through the National Conference of Bar Examiners.
You will be asked to certify that all of your responses are complete and accurate as well as certify certain other statements prior to submitting your application. This includes a continuing duty to inform Wake Forest University School of Law and to update your responses without delay if the responses you provide later become incomplete or inaccurate.
Your application cannot be reviewed until all required application information and documents are received and processed.
